Monterey First Baptist Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in life-giving community, and everyone is welcome. We believe in creating a space where people can have authentic encounters with Christ, discover their gifts and use them for God's glory.

What To Expect
Sunday Morning Service:
A typical Sunday morning service will last about 60 minutes. We sing a good mix of contemporary and traditional music that is led by our worship team. There is childcare available and activities for all age groups.
Sunday Evening:
Discipleship Training: 4-5:00pm This is where you can grow in
knowledge of Scripture, practice Jesus’ teachings, and become
a mature believer who can make disciples.
Children (pre-k-2nd grade):
Children's Chior 4-5:00pm
Class 5-6:00pm
Tweens (3rd-6th grade):
Children's Chior 4-5:00pm
Class 5-6:00pm
Youth: 4-5:00pm Recreation/Game Room
5-6:00pm Group Time
Bible Study: 5-6:00pm Typically, the study is about 60 minutes.
This a more relaxed group discussion of a topic or book in the Bible.
Monday Night:
Women's Bible Study is about 60 minutes. Women gather weekly to study scripture, explore its meaning, and apply it to daily life. Typically, from a specific book or theme, followed by guided questions and discussion. This is a safe, supportive environment for women to come together.
Wednesday Night:
Youth: The gym opens at 5:30pm for recreation time in the gym
or play in the game room and eat before 6:00pm.
We have group time from 6-7:00pm.
Then back in the gym for more games until 7:30pm!
Children (pre-k-2nd grade) & Tweens (3rd-6th grade):
Kids can arrive at 5:30 to eat. Classes are from 6-7:00pm.
Followed by recreation until 7:30pm.
Men's Bible Study: Men gather for about 60 minutes on Wednesday nights
to grow in faith, build community,
and deepen their understanding of God's Word.
